Healthy are We
Tried a new recipe, it was good I enjoyed it my kids were on the fence about it because of the kale but they still ate it.
So I made this on Friday and I forgot to take a picture! It was really yummy and my kids and husband like it.

NutriBullet
I love my Nurtibullet! I have 4 mugs and 2 blades. It makes making a smoothie every morning fast and easy.
Here are a few yummy smoothies:
1) 2 cups fresh spinach, 2 cups water, 1 avocado, 2 cups mixed berries
2) 2 cups fresh spinach, 1 1/2 cups water, 1 apple, any variety, core removed , 1 cup strawberries,
1/2 cup grapes, any variety 1 orange, peeled
3) 2 cups fresh spinach, 2 cups almond milk, unsweetened, 1 cup mixed berries, 2 bananas

The Gym This Morning
So I went to the club house gym this morning and I seriously had to earn every stride I did. So I go the elliptical and started moving the pedals. It took everything I had just to get this thing moving. So I turn the machine on and it is set at the lowest setting this thing has and I couldn't believe it. So I find a program to do regardless of the fact that I am working hard to even move and the one that looked the least intimidating is the rolling hills. It is set for 20 minutes because that is all the time you can have on this machine. So I start into and like 3 minutes goes by and my legs are on fire. I was sweating buckets 5 minutes into this workout just trying to get this machine to move. So I said I need to at least make it to 10 minutes before I get off this machine maybe this machine needs to warm up before it loosens up a bit. 10 minutes goes by and I am at the top of the highest rolling hill and I say to myself well I came this far and I only have one more rolling hill to go and it is smaller then this last one. So by now I am drenched in sweat legs are burning and 16 minutes into this my feet start to go numb and my calves are on fire. But I still pushed on I was not about to let this machine beat me. The machine beeps and 20 minutes is up and I am every so thankful to get off this machine. I felt like I had just hiked up a mountain and I was completely out of breath. I look down to see how far I went and it said I had only gone .62 miles. I wanted to cry because normally when I get on an elliptical machine after 20 minutes I am already on my way to almost 2 miles. So I went and biked for 6.5 miles just to get feeling back in my toes and loosen up my calves and thighs because they were on fire from the elliptical.
The gym has 2 elliptical's and 3 treadmills, 2 recumbent bikes, 1 up right bike and 2 weight machines. I think next time I will try the other elliptical machine.

Grilled Chicken with Avocado Salsa!
So for dinner last night I made Grilled Chicken with Avocado Salsa. This was a home run with my boys they went back for seconds. I did a cheaters way of avocado salsa I had guacamole already so I just used it with some salsa i had already making the avocado salsa look a dark green instead of a bright green. I also used Slap Your Mama instead of the ancho chili powder and garlic salt instead of salt. The chicken was nice and moist and yummy. Another healthy meal down!

Yummy Soup Anyone!
Made some Yummy! Slow Cooker Creamy Tomato Basil Tortellini Soup yesterday and everyone ate it except my 5 year old who things everything is gross and my oldest asked for seconds! I have leftovers I get to eat so that makes me happy! I would have to give this meal a win, win on the healthy spectrum especially since no one knew it was full of veggies!

Smoothie 'n it up
So I had a lot of leftover fruit and veggies from the Holiday parties so I started throwing them in my Nutribullet with yogurt, and flax seed. They have made for yummy breakfast! I cleaned out my fridge before the veggies and veggies went bad and I didn't have to beg other people to help me eat them. I love making smoothies for breakfast. It's fast and easy. Plus all the food groups all a once you can't go wrong there.
My favorite smoothie is to get the frozen organic berry fruit blend from Costco and organic spinach, flax seed, yogurt from the store and blend it up. Surprisingly broccoli tastes good in a smoothie too. I also like the organic tropical fruit blend from Costco to.
